When US stocks, cryptocurrencies, and precious metals all decline together, what does it indicate?
Many people see a "market-wide decline" and instinctively think: systemic risk is coming.
But experienced traders often see another term: temporary loss of correlation.
When US stocks, cryptocurrencies, and precious metals fall simultaneously, it's usually not because a particular logic has collapsed, but because—
liquidity has been collectively withdrawn in a short period of time.
In such market conditions, there are two common mistakes:
1️⃣ Mistaking a pullback for a trend reversal
2️⃣ Relying on emotions to manage positions
From a macro perspective, the long-term logic of precious metals has not been disproven, but short-term funds are re-pricing the "risk-reward ratio." At this point, if you still maintain high-frequency, heavy-position trading on Gate TradFi, you're essentially betting against the market noise.
My only strategy is:
Reduce frequency, not understanding.
* Decrease position size
* Reduce trading frequency
* Only trade at "key levels"
The market isn't worth trading every day.
In times of rising uncertainty, controlling the pace is itself a form of profit.
