Wednesday, June 17 ETH Afternoon Outlook
As of noon on June 17, Ethereum (ETH) has been fluctuating near the key level of $1,800, currently quoted at about $1,794, with a slight rebound of approximately 1.26% over the past 24 hours.
From the market perspective, ETH is short-term trading within a narrow range of $1,780-$1,810. During the early hours, it briefly rose above $1,805 but was affected by a large transfer from an institutional custody address (62,414 ETH, about $112 million), which triggered quantitative selling during low liquidity periods, causing a rapid drop to $1,788 within 15 minutes, indicating persistent selling pressure overhead. Technically, ETH remains well below the 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day moving averages (approximately $1,955, $2,117, and $2,377 respectively), and the bearish trend has not yet reversed. The RSI, near 46, has moved away from oversold territory but has not yet turned strong; although the MACD shows signs of rebound, overall it is still suppressed by the moving average system.
Trading suggestion: Watch for a rebound between 1750-1770, target 1820, break above then see 1860, if not, reverse $BTC to short.
