On July 24, 2026, Gate officially launched Stock Copy Trading , becoming the world's first cryptocurrency platform to support copy trading for stocks. Through the Gate Stock Copy Trading homepage, users can follow lead traders with one click and replicate their real stock positions in real time, participating in U.S., Hong Kong, and South Korean equities, as well as a full range of ETFs, without having to monitor the markets themselves.
Gate previously launched real stock trading by connecting users to compliant brokerage firms holding U.S. Broker-Dealer licenses, providing access to real markets. The launch of Stock Copy Trading brings copy trading to real stock markets for the first time, connecting professional trading strategies with everyday investors and further lowering the barrier to participating in multi-market stock investing worldwide.

Gate Stock Copy Trading covers U.S., Hong Kong, and South Korean equities, as well as various ETFs, with access to more than 12,500 stocks and ETF instruments. Users can replicate lead traders’ real trading activity with one click, without managing multiple accounts or platforms.
2. Fractional-share copy trading, starting from just 0.01 shares
With proportional copying and fractional-share trading, users can open copied positions as small as 0.01 shares, making it easier to gain exposure to high-value assets with smaller amounts of capital.
3. 24/7 operation without traditional market-hour constraints
Users can follow lead traders’ buy and sell activity at any time, without being constrained by traditional market opening and closing hours.
4. High-Water Mark profit sharing to protect followers' interests
A new round of profit sharing is triggered only when a follower's cumulative net P&L exceeds its previous high-water mark. No profit sharing is charged during a loss period; lead traders must fully recover prior losses before becoming eligible for profit sharing again. 5. Proportional copy trading for closer performance alignment

How to Start Stock Copy Trading
- Update Gate App to the latest version V8.29.0 (Stock Copy Trading on Web is coming soon; stay tuned.)
- Log in to your Gate account and navigate to Copy Trading > Stocks
- Browse the list of lead traders and review key metrics such as returns, drawdown, and number of followers. Select a trader and click Copy Now
- Set your copy trading amount and stop-loss parameters. Read and agree to the relevant agreements and risk disclosures, then confirm to establish the copy trading relationship automatically
- Go to My Copy Trades to view copied positions, position P&L, and trading history at any time. To adjust capital or parameters, go to Copy Trade Details > Manage
To become a stock lead trader, click Join Now on the Stock Copy Trading homepage, provide your email address and other required contact information, and submit an application. Once approved, you can begin leading trades and earning copy trading profit-sharing rewards.
