49% of American Voters Oppose Government Equity Stakes in U.S. Companies, CNBC Survey Finds

According to CNBC's All-America Economic Survey conducted in July, 49% of American voters say it is not appropriate for the U.S. government to take equity stakes in domestic companies, while 19% support such ownership and 32% remain undecided. The Trump administration has negotiated nearly $27 billion worth of deals, including a 10% stake in chipmaker Intel worth $42 billion as of July.
