According to PANews, on June 26, Aave introduced V4 to expand into real-world asset (RWA) lending, targeting the global securities lending market valued at approximately $4.6 trillion. The platform allows users to deposit tokenized stocks such as AAPL and TSLA as collateral or lending assets, earning full borrowing rates with transparent pricing and dynamic rate adjustments.

In contrast, traditional brokers like Robinhood and Charles Schwab retain 50-85% of securities lending fees, returning only a portion to users. The global securities lending market generates approximately $35 billion in annual revenue, with intermediaries capturing the majority. Aave's on-chain model aims to reduce intermediary fees and minimize rehypothecation risks.
