Amazon Cuts Jobs in AGI Division on July 22; Leadership Changes Ongoing

According to CNBC, Amazon confirmed on July 22 that it is cutting an undisclosed number of jobs in parts of its artificial general intelligence (AGI) organization. The company did not specify which teams within the AGI group were affected. The move comes after Peter DeSantis replaced Rohit Prasad as head of the unit in December, and AGI lab head David Luan departed in February.
