According to Bloomberg, Anthropic is targeting October 2026 for its initial public offering, potentially ahead of OpenAI and marking one of the AI industry's largest public debuts in recent years.

The generative AI startup has begun arranging roadshows and investor meetings with underwriters, according to people familiar with the matter. Anthropic has appointed Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan Chase as joint lead underwriters. In May 2026, Anthropic's valuation reached $965 billion following a funding round, surpassing OpenAI to become one of the world's highest-valued private tech companies. By contrast, OpenAI has delayed its IPO to 2027, after initially planning a 2026 launch.
