Apple and Baidu to Develop AI Search Function for China iPhone Users

According to sources cited by Odaily, Apple and Baidu will collaborate to develop artificial intelligence features for Chinese iPhone users, with Baidu focusing on an AI-powered search function as part of Apple Intelligence suite. The service will process images and text, and upgrade China's Siri voice assistant.

On June 23, developer One Jailbreak discovered "Baidu Visual Search" in iOS 27 Beta 2 code. Today, July 15, China's Cyberspace Administration released filing information for seven mobile generative AI services, with Apple Intelligence included.
