According to media reports, Apple has confirmed its first foldable iPhone will begin production in late July 2026, with launch planned for September. A research report from Everbright Securities predicted optimistically that foldable iPhone sales could reach 14 million units in 2026, positioning the entire supply chain for significant growth.
Supply chain sources indicated that Apple has finalized display, casing, and structural component specifications for the foldable model, with Foxconn handling initial production. Apple completed its first trial production in April and is expected to enter full production before late July, with the September launch plan on track. Samsung Display has been approved to supply foldable OLED panels from its Vietnam facility for the first batch.
