Apple's First Touch-Enabled MacBook Pro Arrives by Year-End, Features OLED Display and Dynamic Island

According to sources familiar with the matter, Apple plans to debut its first touch-enabled MacBook Pro by late 2026 or early 2027. The 14-inch and 16-inch models will feature OLED displays, incorporate the Dynamic Island interface from iPhone, and use the existing M5 Pro and M5 Max chips rather than next-generation processors. The update marks a major revision for high-end MacBook models since Apple's transition to Apple Silicon in 2020, bringing three features new to the Mac product line. Additionally, Apple will skip the M6 Pro and Max generation, with future high-end MacBooks upgrading directly to the M7 series.
