According to The Block, Arbitrum DAO is voting to release approximately 30,766 ETH frozen by the Arbitrum Security Council to the DeFi United initiative formed in response to the Kelp DAO attack earlier this month. In the first hour of voting, 16.9 million ARB tokens were cast in favor, with the vote running until May 7. The frozen ETH was seized on April 20 when the Arbitrum Security Council halted $71.1 million worth of assets that the Kelp DAO attacker had moved to Arbitrum One following a $292 million exploit of the protocol. DeFi United, led by Aave, has raised over $311 million from contributors including Consensys, Joseph Lubin, Mantle, and LayerZero to restore rsETH backing.
