Asian Stocks Set for Weak Open as Investors Eye U.S. Tech Earnings; Analyst Warns of Risks if Optimism Cracks

Gate News message, April 27 — Asian stock markets are expected to open weaker on Tuesday, April 28, as investors focus on earnings from U.S. technology giants with a combined market value of approximately $16 trillion. The broader U.S. stock market has recovered to record highs, largely supported by upwardly revised earnings expectations and improved market sentiment, according to Walter Todd, president and chief investment officer of Greenwood Capital Associates.

However, Todd warned that if optimistic expectations show signs of deterioration, the market could face significant downside risk. Despite the rally, geopolitical risks remain a concern for investors.
