Base Mainnet Halts Overnight Due to Anomalous Block, Resumes on June 26

According to Base officials and PANews, Base mainnet went offline on June 26 at 12:27 a.m. Beijing time due to an anomalous block that disrupted subsequent block construction. All user funds were secure. At 1:53 a.m., the team announced block sequencing had recovered and internal nodes were syncing normally; validator operators needed to restart their Base nodes to resume sync. By 3:22 a.m., block production returned to normal and applications began coming back online as nodes restarted. The team identified the root cause and plans to publish a detailed post-mortem report.
