BHP Posts Record Iron Ore Output of 291.2M Tonnes in FY2026, Prices Rise 3% to $84.56/Tonne

According to BHP's production report, the mining giant's Western Australian operations achieved record iron ore production of 291.2 million tonnes on a 100% equity basis in FY2026, up 0.4% year-over-year from 290 million tonnes in FY2025. Average realized prices rose 3% to $84.56 per wet tonne in the fiscal year. For FY2027, BHP projects Western Australian iron ore production between 286 and 298 million tonnes.
