Brazil Ships 189,000 Tons of Chicken to EU, Up 51% in H1 Ahead of September Deadline

According to Brazil's Animal Protein Association (ABPA), Brazil shipped over 189,000 tons of chicken to the EU in the first half of 2026, up 51% compared to the same period last year. The surge comes as Brazil faces a September 3 deadline to prove compliance with EU standards on antimicrobial use in livestock. Brazil was excluded from the EU's list of authorized exporters published in May.
