Brazilian Farm Completes First Tokenized Cattle Financing on B3 With 10 Dairy Cows

B3-3.81%
According to Decrypt, Fazenda Engenho Velho farm in Brazil's Paraná state completed the first tokenized livestock financing transaction formally registered on the B3 securities exchange, using 10 dairy cows as collateral to secure 100,000 Brazilian reals (approximately $19,400 USD). Each cow was assigned a unique digital identity through AI-powered sensor collars operated by agricultural technology company Cowmed, with data written directly into credit contracts without requiring on-site farm inspections.
