Brent Crude Could Hit $100/Barrel if Middle East Tensions Escalate, Analyst Says

According to Priyanka Sachdeva, an analyst at Phillip Nova, on July 23, Brent crude oil prices could surge to $100 per barrel if regional tensions continue to escalate. While current market pressures stem mainly from logistics disruptions rather than actual crude losses, sustained attacks could narrow this distinction, Sachdeva noted. The biggest risk to energy markets would be simultaneous prolonged traffic halts in the Strait of Mandeb and Strait of Hormuz, which could rapidly evolve into broader inflation issues.
