Canada Plans to Build 10 Large Nuclear Reactors to Meet Energy Demand

According to officials, Canada announced a strategy on Monday to accelerate nuclear reactor construction nationwide, with plans to build 10 large reactors, at least two of which will begin construction before 2035. Officials also committed to expediting regulatory approvals and establishing a new financing framework by early next year to attract capital from pension funds and sovereign wealth funds for the nuclear expansion program.
