China Issues €5 Billion Sovereign Bonds in Luxembourg, Receives €248 Billion in Orders

According to Jin10 Data, China's Ministry of Finance issued €5 billion in sovereign bonds in Luxembourg on June 25. The offering comprised three tranches: €2.5 billion at 2.768% for 5-year maturity, €1.5 billion at 2.966% for 8-year maturity, and €1 billion at 3.212% for 12-year maturity. The bonds attracted strong international demand, with total subscriptions reaching €24.8 billion, approximately 5 times the issued amount. The bonds will be listed on the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX) and Luxembourg Stock Exchange.
