China Responds to U.S. Plans to Counter Its Influence on July 28

According to Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian on July 28, China responded to reports that the U.S. plans to invest hundreds of millions of dollars to counter China's growing influence in the Americas, Africa, and Asia. Lin stated that normal relations and cooperation between nations should not be targeted at third parties. China opposes closed, exclusive blocs and its cooperation with other countries and developing nations aims to jointly safeguard world peace, promote global development, and maintain international order, the spokesperson said.
