China's A-Shares Rise on Afternoon Surge; Shanghai Index Reclaims 4,100 Points, ChiNext Hits 11-Year High

Gate News message, April 22 — China's three major stock indices rallied in afternoon trading today, with gains accelerating into the close. The Shanghai Composite Index (SSE) rose 0.52% to reclaim the 4,100-point level, the Shenzhen Component Index (SZSE) gained 1.3%, and the ChiNext Index climbed 1.73% to 3,752.76 points, marking a fresh 11-year high. Combined trading volume on both exchanges exceeded 2.5 trillion yuan.

Within the market, computing power hardware stocks, including CPO and fiber optic names, surged. Yongding Co. and Vogu Photonics hit daily limits, while Xinyisheng climbed nearly 8% to record highs. Computing power rental concepts also rallied, with Annuity, Henghuo Technology, and Hangzhou Iron & Steel hitting daily limits. Semiconductor-linked stocks advanced, with Luwei Optoelectronics, Xiandao Semiconductor, and Guanshi Technology all hitting daily limits.

Film and television stocks retreated, with China Media Express and Bona Film Group each falling over 7%.
