According to Xinhua, China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning responded on July 29 to the U.S. Federal Communications Commission's announcement of import restrictions on foreign-made advanced robots, including humanoid robots where China holds a leading position. Mao said China firmly opposes the United States' politicization of the national security concept to suppress Chinese enterprises, and that protectionism will not enhance U.S. competitiveness but only harm American businesses and consumers. China will take necessary measures to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises.
