According to BlockBeats, on July 15, Coinbase platform lead Rob Witoff stated that 95% to 100% of the company's code is now written or assisted by large language models (LLMs), with nearly all employees using AI daily. This marks more than a two-fold increase from about 40% reported in February.
Withoff noted that AI Agents currently managed by engineers handle work equivalent to approximately 1,200 employees' coding output, with each engineer overseeing 5 to 10 AI Agents. Critical domains such as core cryptography still rely primarily on human review.
