Daishin Securities Falls Short in H1 2026 IPO Underwriting at 18 Billion Won, Bets on Sono International for H2 Reversal

According to Digital Daily on July 20, South Korean brokerage Daishin Securities managed IPO underwriting of approximately 18 billion won in the first half of 2026, among the lowest in the sector amid a broader market slowdown. The firm is now banking on a major turnaround through Sono International's planned listing in the second half, where Sono's enterprise value is estimated at around 3 trillion won with an expected public offering size of approximately 800 billion won. Daishin Securities and Mirae Asset Securities are serving as co-lead underwriters for the Sono transaction, which is projected to significantly improve the firm's full-year IPO performance if the listing proceeds as planned.
