ECB's Stournaras Rules Out Monetary Policy Changes in July, Signals Lower Rate Hike Odds

According to Bloomberg, European Central Bank Governing Council member Yannis Stournaras said he does not expect any monetary policy adjustments in July, signaling reduced likelihood of further interest rate increases. Maintaining the current policy stance for a period may be appropriate, he noted. Stournaras added that the ECB must monitor the indirect impact of geopolitical tensions, particularly the conflict involving the U.S. and Israel, on price developments.
