ETF Derivatives Terms with 73.9% Error Rate Appear in South Korea's July High School Mock Exam

On July 8, professional ETF terminology including NAV, premium-discount ratios, liquidity providers, and leveraged and covered call ETF strategies appeared in questions 14-17 of South Korea's national high school college entrance mock examination for 2026.

Question 15, which asked students to apply different ETF operational strategies to real investment scenarios, recorded the highest error rate at 73.9%, while question 16, which required analyzing ETF arbitrage opportunities based on price-iNAV graphs, saw 54.8% of test-takers answer incorrectly. As of July 8, 1,144 ETFs listed on South Korea's stock market held a combined net asset value of approximately 463.9 trillion Korean won.
