According to an official statement, the EU Council formally passed two regulations on June 25, 2026, to implement tariff-related commitments outlined in the EU-US joint statement from August 21, 2025. The regulations eliminate remaining EU tariffs on U.S. industrial products, introduce preferential access for certain American seafood and non-sensitive agricultural products through tariff quotas and reductions, and extend the tariff suspension period for lobster imports.
