European Stocks Gain 9% in H1 2026, South European Indices Outperform

According to Jin10, major European indices posted solid gains in the first half of 2026, with the Stoxx 50 rising over 9% and the Stoxx 600 up more than 8% as of Tuesday close. Among regional indices, Italy's FTSE MIB led with a near 15% gain, while Spain's IBEX 35 climbed over 12%. Germany's DAX 30 gained just 2%, the UK's FTSE 100 rose 5.7%, and France's CAC 40 advanced 3%, showing more modest performance among major European equity indices.
