FCC Updates Restricted Devices List, Bars Foreign Advanced Inverters from U.S. Market on July 28

On July 28, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) updated its restricted devices list, prohibiting foreign advanced power inverter equipment from obtaining FCC certification and being imported or sold in the United States.

According to an executive at a listed inverter manufacturer, the prohibition primarily affects future product certifications rather than existing products. The company noted that inverter models already certified can continue to be sold in the U.S. market, while new model certifications will no longer be approved.
