Foreign Investors Lead Purchases of Inverse ETFs Since May, Driven by Single-Stock Leverage Hedging

Inverse ETFs are financial products designed to profit from stock index declines. Analysts attribute the surge in foreign demand partly to growth in single-stock leverage ETFs and derivative arbitrage trading strategies, which create hedging pressures in the inverse ETF segment.
