Former Alibaba Executive's Chip Startup Raises Pre-A Funding for RISC-V Processors

According to 36Kr, Shenzhen Zhichuangxin Microelectronics, founded in 2022 by former Alibaba T-Head executive Chen Hao, has completed a pre-A funding round with participation from TusStar Venture Capital and other investors. The startup develops RISC-V processors and system-on-chip (SoC) chips for smart terminals.

Zhichuangxin has launched multiple chips with built-in RISC-V central processing units and achieved mass production, with annual shipments reaching several million units. The company plans to partner with Shenzhen Kaihong to integrate RISC-V with OpenHarmony, initially targeting smart home products.
