According to LSEG data, FTSE Russell's annual index rebalance takes effect after trading on June 26, affecting approximately $12 trillion in tracked assets. The rebalancing is expected to generate record trading volume, with 62 companies being added to the Russell 1000 index and 237 added to the Russell 2000 index.
SpaceX and CoreWeave are among the companies joining the Russell 1000, according to initial data. Additionally, Nvidia will replace Apple as the highest-weighted constituent of the Russell 1000 index, with Apple moving to the third-largest position. Walmart is also expected to enter the top ten constituents.
