Global Liquidations Hit $257M in 24 Hours, Long Positions Account for $181M

Gate News message, April 23 — Over the past 24 hours, global cryptocurrency futures markets recorded $257 million in liquidations, according to Coinglass data. Long position liquidations totaled $181 million, while short position liquidations reached $75.22 million.

Bitcoin saw long liquidations of $52.09 million and short liquidations of $23.89 million. Ethereum experienced long liquidations of $62.75 million and short liquidations of $11.01 million.

In total, 103,185 traders were liquidated over the period. The largest single liquidation occurred on Hyperliquid's BTC-USD contract, valued at $3.58 million.
