Global Ocean Surface Temperature Hits Record 20.86°C on June 21

According to the European Union's Copernicus Climate Change Service and the Copernicus Marine Service, released on July 1, global ocean surface temperature reached 20.86 degrees Celsius on June 21, exceeding the previous record of 20.83 degrees set in June 2023 and 2024. The Copernicus Marine Service data showed the same day's average at 21 degrees Celsius, surpassing the prior record by 0.1 degrees.
