Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Operations Chief Xu Liang Departs on July 16, After Four Months in Role

According to a Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing spokesman on July 16, Xu Liang, managing director and head of operations, departed in June after approximately four months with the exchange. Xu joined HKEX on February 10, 2025, reporting directly to Chief Operating Officer Vanessa Lau. Before joining the exchange, Xu spent nearly 20 years at Goldman Sachs, most recently as managing director and co-head of Asia-Pacific operations, where he also held roles including head of Asia market operations and head of China operations.
