Hong Kong Stocks Surge in Early Trading, Hang Seng Index Up 508 Points or 2.1%

According to HKEJ market data, Hong Kong stocks surged in early trading on July 20, with the Hang Seng Index up 508 points or 2.1% to 25,070 as of 9:51 a.m. The Mainland Enterprises Index gained 215 points or 2.7% to 8,352, while the Tech Index rose 148 points or 3.2% to 4,771.

Tech stocks led the rally, with Alibaba up 5.2% to 118.4 HKD, Tencent gaining 2.8% to 474.4 HKD, Meituan rising 3.8% to 86.8 HKD, and Baidu climbing 3.1% to 109.8 HKD. Other gainers included Kuaishou up 5.1% to 45.5 HKD, NetEase up 3.4% to 209.6 HKD, and Xiaomi up 2.6% to 27.58 HKD.
