On July 21, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index opened higher but came under selling pressure, falling as much as 93 points to a low of 25,049 before recovering. As of 10:45 a.m., the Hang Seng Index stood at 25,101, down 41 points or 0.17%, while the National Index declined 24 points or 0.3% to 8,357, and the Tech Index rose 16 points or 0.35% to 4,768.
During intraday trading, the index briefly rallied up to 25,253 but was capped by the 100-day moving average at 25,257. Insurance stocks continued their upward momentum from the previous session, with China Pacific Insurance rising 2.8% to HK$21.26 and China Taiping Insurance up 2.1% to HK$14.92, while tech stocks showed mixed performance.
