Injective Files for SEC Transfer Agent Registration to Bring Securities Records Onchain

INJ-2.27%
According to Injective, the layer-1 blockchain filed a transfer agent registration with the SEC on Thursday (July 16). Transfer agents maintain shareholder records and track securities ownership changes in US capital markets. If approved, Injective's registration would enable the platform to provide regulated infrastructure for issuing and managing tokenized assets with compliant ownership records. Injective stated the approach could reduce settlement delays and reconciliation between intermediaries. The company did not disclose the legal entity behind the application, and the SEC filing could not be independently verified at the time of publication.
