According to Tom's Hardware, Intel officially confirmed on Friday (July 3) that it has raised prices on select consumer and server processors, citing supply chain cost increases and strong product demand. Consumer-grade processors including Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and Core Ultra 7 250K Plus saw price hikes of 30-50 dollars each, while data center-grade Xeon processors increased by hundreds to thousands of dollars.
An Intel spokesperson stated: "Recent pricing adjustments reflect current market conditions, including elevated supply chain costs and robust demand for Intel Core Ultra 200S Plus processors. These adjustments align with similar price increases across other Intel product families based on comparable factors." However, some analysts note that not all product lines received increases, suggesting this move targets high-demand, premium-tier SKUs rather than reflecting uniform cost inflation.
