According to Jin10 data, Iran's Foreign Ministry issued a statement on June 28 condemning U.S. military strikes on southern Iranian coastal regions the previous evening. The ministry stated that the attacks violated the United Nations Charter and the first clause of a U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding requiring all hostilities to cease. Iran emphasized it will uphold its commitment to defending national sovereignty and territorial integrity under the UN Charter and called on the UN Security Council and Secretary-General to maintain international peace and security.
