Iran Says U.S. Failed to Execute Article 1 of Memorandum on June 21

According to Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Kanaani on June 21, Iran claimed that the U.S. has failed to implement Article 1 of the memorandum of understanding signed on June 18. Kanaani stated that Article 13 of the memo explicitly requires the execution of five specific provisions, including Article 1, which demands a ceasefire on all fronts including the Lebanese border, as a prerequisite for initiating final agreement negotiations. He asserted that Iran views this condition as unmet and accused the U.S. of either being unable or unwilling to comply.
