Iran's Desalination Plant Damaged in Airstrike, 10,000 Residents' Water Supply Cut on July 18

According to Iran's government website on July 18, the Benji desalination plant in Jask, Hormozgan Province, was struck, cutting drinking water supply to approximately 10,000 residents. According to the provincial water and wastewater company, the facility's seawater intake pump station and related power transformer were destroyed.

The incident has left about 20 villages in the region facing a water crisis, with all residents completely cut off from drinking water supply.
