Jeff Bezos' Project Prometheus Raises $10B at $38B Valuation

Gate News message, April 24 — Project Prometheus, an AI lab founded by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and former Google executive Vik Bajaj, has closed a $10 billion funding round at a $38 billion valuation. JPMorgan Chase and BlackRock are among the lead investors.

The startup focuses on building AI models and tools for engineering and manufacturing, targeting private equity firms and sovereign wealth funds rather than traditional venture capital investors. The company has held discussions with funds in the Middle East and Singapore. Project Prometheus also acquired General Agents, the developer of Ace, an AI agent that can search the web and execute tasks using a video-language-action model architecture designed for robotics and physical-world applications.

The company is exploring a holding company structure to acquire manufacturing-related businesses long term. This vehicle is part of a broader plan to raise a separate $100 billion fund aimed at accelerating automation in chipmaking, defense, and aerospace sectors through AI-driven innovation.
