According to Morning Minute, Jesse Pollak, Coinbase executive running Base blockchain, handed the Base consumer app to trader Cobie today and acknowledged his 2024-2025 strategy betting on onchain social growth was incorrect. Pollak admitted that the social ecosystem he championed—including Farcaster, Zora, and creator coins—"disintegrated completely" and said he was "wrong" about content coins. He is now refocusing Base as "the blockchain for global finance," prioritizing trading, payments, and agents for 2026. Meanwhile, Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs saw net inflows of $107 million and $54 million, respectively, on Wednesday.
