JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon Warns Mythos AI Model is Like Giving 'Ballistic Missile' to Individuals

According to Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, during his address at Pennsylvania's Defense and Innovation Summit on July 15, the Mythos AI model developed by Anthropic poses significant security risks that warrant government attention. Mythos, which has proven exceptionally capable at identifying software vulnerabilities, has not been released to the general public due to these safety concerns.

Dimon stated that releasing such advanced AI systems to broad audiences would constitute major risk, comparing it to "putting a ballistic missile in the hands of an individual." JPMorgan, one of the approved enterprises using Mythos since April, has deployed the model to test its own cybersecurity defenses and shares security insights with suppliers and industry peers.
