According to LayerZero's announcement on July 23, Keeta and LayerZero are launching an infrastructure enabling tokenized commercial bank deposits to move seamlessly across Ethereum, Solana, and Base using LayerZero's Omnichain Fungible Token standard. The platform will allow regulated financial institutions to issue and transfer tokenized deposits while retaining full control over smart contracts.

The companies plan to launch later this month, initially supporting the U.S. dollar alongside eight additional currencies: euro, Japanese yen, Chinese renminbi, British pound, Canadian dollar, Mexican peso, UAE dirham, and Hong Kong dollar. Tokenized deposits will be backed by commercial bank funds through Bivo, a U.S.-licensed fintech platform connected to domestic payment rails.
