Kiwoom Launches First Dedicated CPU-Focused ETF on July 28; Samsung ETF Follows in August

According to Maeil Business Newspaper, Kiwoom Asset Management will launch the world's first dedicated CPU-focused ETF, KIWOOM CPU Semiconductor TOP4+, on July 28, followed by Samsung Asset Management's KODEX CPU Semiconductor TOP10 in August. KB Asset Management and Korea Investment Trust are also reportedly preparing CPU-themed ETF launches.

The two products employ different strategies despite both emphasizing CPU exposure. Kiwoom's offering provides broad CPU ecosystem exposure, allocating 25% each to AMD and Intel, 15% each to ARM and Qualcomm, with remaining positions in Apple, Nvidia, TSMC, and Broadcom. Samsung's version concentrates on three major holdings—AMD, Intel, and ARM—with smaller positions in mid-cap names including Navitas.
