Korean Game Giants Report Combined Crypto Losses of $4.2M in Q1 2026

According to South Korea's Financial Supervisory Service Q1 2026 filings reported by The Chosun Daily, four major Korean game publishers reported significant crypto losses as token prices declined. Netmarble posted a net disposal loss of 3.7 billion won (US$2.41 million), nearly liquidating its bitcoin and ether holdings to 0.01 BTC and 0.49 ETH. Neowiz reported a net disposal loss of 670 million won (US$436,000). WeMade's bitcoin holdings saw book value fall to 18 billion won (US$11.7 million) from 18.8 billion won. NC's SUI token position declined to 15.6 billion won (US$10.1 million) from 24.6 billion won (US$16 million).
