Mag 7, Software Stocks Set for Strong Second-Half Rebound, Says ETF Action

US2000-0.42%
According to ETF Action co-founder Mike Akins on CNBC's ETF Edge this week, underperforming sectors including software, cloud computing, and small-cap stocks are poised for significant gains in the second half of 2026. Akins noted that the Magnificent Seven index fell more than 2% in the first half while the Nasdaq-100 gained nearly 20%, making Mag 7 an attractive catch-up trade. He also highlighted mid and small-cap companies as favorable opportunities, citing strong earnings growth estimates and historically depressed valuations. The Russell 2000 small-cap index has already gained nearly 20% year-to-date.
