MEXC Appoints Former Bybit Compliance Chief to Lead Multi-Asset Expansion

MEXC has appointed Robert MacDonald, former Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at Bybit, as Chief Compliance Officer as the exchange expands beyond crypto trading into tokenized stocks, ETFs, commodities and other traditional finance-linked products. MacDonald will oversee MEXC's global compliance strategy, governance framework and regulatory engagement across more than 170 markets. He brings experience from Bybit, Binance and Standard Chartered, with expertise in licensing strategy, anti-money laundering controls and cross-border compliance. The move addresses increased regulatory complexity as MEXC broadens its product range, requiring navigation of different frameworks for securities, derivatives and tokenized assets across multiple jurisdictions.
